CHANDLER, Ariz. — Calling all young artists! April is National Fair Housing Month and to help educate youth about a person’s right to live where they choose and equal housing opportunities for all, the city’s Neighborhood Resources Department invites kids in grades first through sixth to enter a poster contest.

The fair housing poster contest theme is “Love Your Neighbor” and all entries should contain wording and imagery that conveys this theme. To enter, email a poster of the original artwork to community.development@chandleraz.gov and include the parent’s name and phone number, child’s name, age, grade and school. The contest is open to students living or attending a school in Chandler city limits. Contest submissions are due no later than Friday, April 5.

Prizes (Amazon gift cards) will be awarded to the top three submissions selected by a panel of city staff. The winners also will be recognized during a Chandler City Council meeting.
