Chandler families are invited to tie up their tennis shoes and take the Chandler Challenge, a 5K and 10K Challenge sponsored by the Chandler Education Foundation (CEF) in conjunction with Chandler’s Day of Play. Chandler residents and their families are encouraged to combat the nationwide crisis of obesity in a fun way. “We hope parents will use this event as an excuse to get the whole family off the couch and exercising together, said Glenna McCollum, CEF executive director. “We want them to train for this run, but also get the whole family in the habit of exercising.”
