Chandler’s 4th of July 7UP Fireworks Spectacular
Celebrate America and our heritage at this fun and festive Independence Day event for the entire family. Held at Tumbleweed Park, and presented by the Chandler Lions Club and the City of Chandler.

Each year, the Chandler Lions Club hosts the Chandler 4th of July 7UP Fireworks Spectacular.
Many activities surround the event, including live music (featuring Plastic Gladys & Panhead Ronnie), a free kids carnival, a bike parade, classic cars on display, and food and beverage vendors. Activities include a 35-foot water slide, a rock-climbing wall, a dunk tank, and assorted water games and interactive amusements for kids.
The Cactus Bike Push, Pull, Peddle Bike Parade will be held at 6 p.m., with each registrant receiving a free gift. The participant with the bike that is decorated best will win a Harro children’s bike. Participants can register for the free parade through July 3 at any Cactus Bike location, or at the park on July 4 from 5-5:30 p.m. For bike parade details, contact Cactus Bike at 480-782-5483 (Ocotillo location) or 480-940-7433 (Ahwatukee location).

Parking Directions
No significant road closures are planned for the event. However, expect traffic restrictions in to and out of the two entrances on the north and east sides of the park.
- People coming from the west are encouraged to enter the park on eastbound Germann Rd. at Hamilton St. (1/2-mile east of Arizona Ave.).
- Event traffic approaching from the east on Germann Rd. will be directed onto southbound McQueen Rd. where it will turn into the east entrance of Tumbleweed Park (1/4-mile south of Germann Rd.).
- There will be no access to the park for westbound traffic on Germann Rd., however thru traffic will be permitted.
- Northbound and southbound traffic on McQueen Rd. will also use the park’s east entrance.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I bring my own food to the event?
Answer: Yes you can. However, the Chandler Lions Club as that you purchase your beverages at the event to help keep the event free.
- Can I bring my dog with me?
Answer: Yes you can as long as it stays on its leash. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that dogs stay home due to the large crowds and noise from the fireworks.
- Can I B-Q-Q on my own grill?
Answer: No you cannot. Open flames are not allowed in the park whether they are in park grills or personal grills.
- Are the kids games really free?
Answer: Yes they are. All kids games are provided complimentary of the Chandler Lions Club.
- Where exactly is Tumbleweed Park?
Answer: Tumbleweed Park is located on the southwest corner of Germann & McQueen Roads.
- Where can I park and how much does it cost?
Answer: Parking costs $5 per vehicle. You may park on the southwest corner of Germann & McQueen Roads - enter from McQueen Road (near the Tennis Center) or at the lot off of Hamilton Street - enter off of Hamilton Street and Germann Road (at the corner of the Park & Ride)

Tumbleweed Park is located on the southwest corner of McQueen and Germann roads in Chandler. Enter the event from either westbound Germann road or north and southbound McQueen road.
