The City's landfill is permanently closed. The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center is open to assist Chandler residents with proper disposal or excess refuse and to recycle acceptable materials. The center is located at 955 E. Queen Creek Road (entrance just west of McQueen Road). Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Monday. CLOSED every Tuesday and Wednesday, and on the following holidays: New Year's. Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The City offers curbside recycling to single-family homes, duplexes and triplexes. Neighborhood recycling drop-off sites are provided throughout the City to accommodate residents of residential complexes of four or more units. The current residential solid waste services fee is $15.07, and is listed on the month City Utility Services bill, aloing with water and sewer service. In addition to weekly collection of refuse and recycling containers, the fee also covers other solid waste services and programs. Refuse and recycling containers are each collected once a week. Refuse containers om alleys serve approximately three to four homes. Per City Code, curbside containers must be placed at the curb for collection prior to 6 a.m. on the day of collection, or the evening before if it is more convenient. Residents are reminded to remove containers from the curb by the end of the collection day. Residents with alley collection service are responsible for keeping alleys free of weeds and debris from their fence line to the center of the alley. For excess amounts of refuse or recyclables, residents may call (480) 782-3510 to schedule a free curbside bulk collection twice a year, and thereafter, $25 per scheduled bulk collection. Residents also may use the City's Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center, located at 955 E. Queen Creek Rd. (entrance just west of McQueen Road). Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday thru Monday.
