Chuck Wagon Cook Off 

Experience a rare, up-close look at Western history at this FREE, family friendly culinary event. Authentic 1880s chuck wagons from around the Southwest compete to cook up the best meals fit for the trail using slow-cook, wood-fire methods from the time period. Wagon teams win prizes in various food categories, and the public can purchase these unique five-course chuck wagon meals from competitors.

pot Enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, Western artisans, storytelling, unique vendors, group tours and more! The event supports the educational development of Tumbleweed Ranch.

Pioneer PepperLive music on the Main Stage featuring Pioneer Pepper and the Sunset Pioneers. Western artists and other unique vendors, cooking demonstrations and storytelling, historic home tours, and wagon rides to the AZ Railway museum.

10- 11:30 AM - At the Red Shed Theater, presented by the Chandler Historical Society:  Cowboy Poet and Storyteller Michael "Coyote" Peach, along with outdoor cooking demonstrations including Jalapeno Sausage Huskers and Cast Iron Care and Cleaning.

Noon- 1 PM only - Chuck Wagon Lunch Junior Chuckwagon

1 PM- Junior Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, ages 10-15, preregistration required

Lunch tickets sold only on Saturday, starting at 10 AM, and   they always sell out quickly!
