The parks are surrounded by 6-foot high chain link fences with one main entrance so dogs can’t escape unleashed.

The Dog Parks are open to the public daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., except when they are closed for routine maintenance or reserved for city sponsored programs such as dog obedience classes and Police K-9 training.

To ensure that owners and their pets have a great time while visiting one of Chandler’s Dog Parks, there are a few rules all visitors must abide by.

For example, all dog owners are asked to pick up after their pooch. Policing your pet is no problem here! The city has provided pooper-scoopers and a special waste receptacle to help owners do their part.

The City also asks that the special training obstacles be used for dogs only. They are specially designed to help train and exercise dogs, but they are not built for children or adults.

Other rules include keeping your dog under voice control and in your sight at all times, dogs must be vaccinated, dogs in season are not allowed, and no smoking or eating is allowed within the fenced area. These and other park rules are posted at the main gate of the Dog Park.

Be sure to bring doggie treats to reward your dog while at the park, especially when he’s been canine friendly to everyone and a been a good pooch. For more information, call 480-782-2727.
