The City of Chandler has launched an export assistance program to streamline access to the knowledge, services and expertise companies need to enter or expand into global markets. The following types of assistance are available through the City’s Economic Development Division. Staff can also connect you with other export service providers if your company has export-related needs not listed below.
The City of Chandler has joined forces with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to empower local businesses to boost their export sales and add quality American jobs as part of EXIM’s Regional Export Promotion Program. Chandler is the first and only community in Arizona participating in this nationwide program dedicated to supporting small business exporters. The program opens the door for Chandler companies to take full advantage of the wide array of financial services and products offered by EXIM. If your company is new to exporting or looking to grow its international customer base, EXIM is a great starting point. EXIM products have no minimum annual insurance premiums or financing fees, and are available to exporters selling into emerging foreign markets that may be considered too risky for private sector lenders and insurance companies.
Export Strategy Development
Do you see growth opportunity in global markets, but are struggling to carve out the time and resources to make it happen? Are you reactively selling to international customers who find you, rather than taking a proactive and strategic approach to identifying your best prospects in global markets? If so, ExporTech could be your answer. The City of Chandler is partnering with the Arizona Commerce Authority to host ExporTech workshops in Chandler. This accelerated program combines group workshops with individualized coaching to produce a complete export plan within nine weeks. Benefits of ExporTech include:
- Structured export strategy development process
- Only national program that helps each company develop its own export plan
- Connects companies with world-class experts that help navigate the export sales process
- Saves countless hours and eliminates fear of the unknown about getting paid, protecting intellectual property, finding sales channels and more
- Participating companies generate an average of $770,000 in new export sales
The first ExporTech workshop in Chandler will be held August to October 2016. A partial scholarship will be available to Chandler companies that graduate from the program. Learn more about ExporTech Program.
