Mobile Food Unit
A Mobile Food Unit is a food establishment designed to be readily movable from which food is composed, compounded, processed, or prepared and from which food is vended, sold, or given away.  This includes, but is not limited to, food establishments in operation from a vehicle, enclosed trailer, cart, or pushcart.  A mobile food unit is defined and regulated by the Chandler Municipal Code, Chapter 21.
There is a business checklist and a responsible party checklist available for use by the applicant which identifies the requirements to successfully complete the Mobile Food Unit Permit ApplicationList of Responsible Party,  and Responsible Party Application. A permit is required for the business and an application is required for any responsible party of the business which includes the business owner, manager, supervisor, agent, individual designated by the owner, fiduciary, person with power of attorney, or person who is having charge of or direct responsibility of a unit while in operation.

Prior to submitting the completed documents to the Tax and License Division, there is an inspection application form to be completed and submitted to the Fire, Health, and Medical Department for approval.

Transaction Privilege Tax Changes - Tax and License
The City of Chandler will continue to administer transaction privilege taxes and licensing through the 2016 calendar year.

The State of Arizona and its Cities and Towns continue to work together to achieve the goal of simplifying the manner in which taxpayers report and pay their Transaction Privilege Tax.  We want to ensure that there is a smooth transition in reporting and paying all transaction privilege tax.

Due to the complexity in modifying the Arizona Department of Revenue’s computer systems, ADOR will not be the single point of licensing, filing and payment of all transaction privilege taxes in January of 2016.

For 2016, taxpayers will continue to file and pay transaction privilege taxes to the state and most municipalities as they do today.  More information will become available as the City prepares for these changes.  To view this information directly from Arizona Department of Revenue, click here.

Guidance for Residential Rental Property Managers
