Proposal to Modify Bus service Route 96 (Dobson Road) to serve Price Road
The City of Chandler is planning a change to Route 96. The Transportation Commission recommended approval of the change at their May 15 meeting. The Valley Metro Board will review and vote on the change in August.
Route 96 currently serves Dobson Road south of Pecos Road from approximately 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. The modification will divert the route to Price Road between Germann and Queen Creek roads, providing new bus service to major employment centers such as Wells Fargo, Continuum, Amkor, and Isagenix. One early morning southbound trip will be extended south of Pecos (approximately 5:30AM). Additionally, two later afternoon northbound trips will be extended south of Pecos (approximately 6:15PM and 6:45PM). The The first northbound trip will leave at approximately 5:16AM instead of 4:49 AM.
If approved, this service change would occur on October 27, 2014.
