Neighborhoods in Action

Our neighborhoods are the heart of Chandler. Take a moment to look at what some of our Chandler neighborhoods are doing in the community.
 

Armstrong Neighborhood
Armstrong Neighborhood is located at Delaware St and Galveston St. Leaders from the neighborhood participated in the 2012 Fall Traditional Neighborhood Academy to help improve their neighborhood. The residents of the neighborhood recently participated in a survey to vote on their favorite street sign topper design.

Dobson Estates II Neighborhood
Dobson Estates II Dobson Estates II Neighborhood is located at the northeast corner of Alma School Rd and Elliot Rd. The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on June 12, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Dobson Estates III Neighborhood
Dobson Estates III Dobson Estates III Neighborhood is located at the northeast corner of Alms School Rd and Shawnee Dr. The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on June 17, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Green Valley Neighborhood
Green Valley In March 2010, residents from Green Valley took steps towards improving and preserving their neighborhood. The neighborhood begin working with City staff to re-enact Block Watch and participate in G.A.I.N. (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) Event. The neighborhood residents also applied for a Neighborhood Grant which they were awarded in November 2010. Residents also participated in the Traditional Neighborhood Academy and held a neighborhood meeting on October 23, 2013.

Hartford Village Neighborhood
Hartford Village Hartford Village Neighborhood is located at the northeast corner of Knox Rd and Hartford St. The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on October 17, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Historic Park Manors Neighborhood
Historic Park Manors Neighborhood is located at the northwest corner of Chandler Blvd and Hartford St. The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on June 25, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Historic South Chandler Neighborhood
Historic South Chandler Historic South Chandler Neighborhood is located at the southeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Pecos Rd. Recently, the residents participated in a safety fair and clean-up project held in their neighborhood.

Hoy Homes Neighborhood
  Hoy Homes Neighborhood is located along Galveston St between Hartford St and Arizona Ave. The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on Thursday, May 29, 2014 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Hoy Homes Neighborhood voted on their favorite Street Sign Topper Design. The sign design with the highest votes will be placed at the major entry points of the neighborhood and will create identity for the neighborhood. The winning design was sign #2. Below are the results of the survey.

Karen Manor Neighborhood
Karen Manor Neighborhood is located at the northeast corner of Ray Rd and Alma School Rd. The neighborhood begin working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on June 26, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

New Horizons Neighborhood
On March 28, 2011, residents from the New Horizons Neighborhood developed a Neighborhood Action Plan and established committees to address the actions identified in the plan. These actions were the results of a neighborhood assessment survey that the residents participated in.

Orangetree Neighborhood
Orangetree held its first neighborhood meeting on November 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Elementary. At this meeting, the core group of 19 residents reviewed the neighborhood survey results and discussed plans to hold a larger neighborhood meeting in January. The goal of the larger neighborhood meeting is to develop an Action Plan for Orangetree. Below is a copy of the survey results for Orangetree. Pamela Park Neighborhood
 Pamela Park held its first neighborhood meeting on February 9, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Trinity Christian Fellowship, 50 S. McQueen Rd. At this meeting, the core group reviewed the survey results and began working on their Neighborhood Action Plan.

San Mateo Estates Neighborhood
San Mateo Logo San Mateo Estates Neighborhood is located off of Arizona Avenue and Knox Road. Recently, the residents of San Mateo participated in a neighborhood assessment survey and took part in Live Love Day and held a neighborhood clean-up.

Silk Stocking Historic District
Silk Stocking The Silk Stocking Neighborhood is one of Chandler’s oldest neighborhoods located north of Chandler Boulevard and east of Arizona Avenue. In October 2008, the residents of the Silk Stocking Neighborhood took steps towards preserving their neighborhood and a part of Chandler’s history. The neighborhood completed a National Register of Historic Places Nomination. The National Park Service (NPS) and the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) reviewed and approved the neighborhood nomination. On August 29, 2011, the Silk Stocking Neighborhood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Summerset Neighborhood
Summerset Logo Summerset Neighborhood is located at Hamilton Street and Galveston Street. The neighborhood begin working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on November 20, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Sun Meadows Ranch Neighborhood
Sun Meadows Ranch Sun Meadows Ranch Neighborhood is located between Del Rio St and Laredo St and Beck Ave and McKemy Ave. The neighborhood begin working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on June 18, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Sunset Vista Neighborhood
Sunset Vista Neighborhood is located between Galveston and Erie Streets and Hartford and Evergreen Streets. It's a well established older neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The individual designs of the homes gives the neighborhood a unique charm. Sunset Vista held its first neighborhood meeting on June 25, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The core group of 18 residents participated and worked together on an Action Plan for their Neighborhood.
   
Tradition East Neighborhood
Traditions East The Tradition East Neighborhood is located at Chandler Bl and Lakeview Dr. The neighborhood begin working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held a meeting on June 20, 2013 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Village at Tiburon Neighborhood
  Village at Tiburon Neighborhood is located just south of Warner Rd and east of Price Rd.  The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on Thursday, June 5, 2014 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.

Village at Tiburon Neighborhood voted on their favorite Street Sign Topper Design and had a tie between sign #1 and sign #4. An online voting was conducted to break the tie and sign #1 was the final winner. The winning sign design will be placed at the major entry points of the neighborhood and will create identity for the neighborhood. Below are the results of the survey.

  Woodglen Neighborhood is located just north of Elliot Rd and east of Dobson Rd.  The neighborhood began working with the City through the Traditional Neighborhood Academy. The neighborhood held its first meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 and reviewed the neighborhood survey results and completed a Neighborhood Action Plan.
