Dial-A-Ride provides transportation for disabled citizens or seniors 65 and older who are not able to access local bus service.
The City of Chandler offers a Dial-A-Ride service Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for seniors citizens (age 65+) and disabled.
Two levels of service are offered: ADA (must be certified by a physician and by Valley Metro) can be scheduled up to seven days in advance with service available on a prescheduled basis as early as 5:30 a.m. All other service should be scheduled three days in advance and is subject to availability. If Dial-A-Ride accepts your trip request, waits are up to 45 minutes.
Cost for non-ADA Dial-A-Ride is on a zone basis with a one-way trip costing $1 + $0.50 for each zone traversed. For example, to travel from the Downtown Chandler Library to Fiesta Mall would be boarding in Zone 12, traveling through zones 11 & 3, and deboarding in zone 2. This would cost the passenger $2.50 (The same trip by bus would be $1.25). Certified ADA passengers pay a flat $2 to any destination.
