Police Seek Fraud Scheme Suspects

CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Chandler Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who have opened fraudulent credit accounts with various stores around the valley. The suspects use stolen identities to open accounts with stores such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sears, Cabela’s and Kohl’s, then use the newly acquired credit to purchase washers, dryers and gift cards. To date, the suspects have defrauded more than $27,000 in merchandise from the various stores.

The suspect who opens the fraudulent accounts is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, between 180 and 200 pounds, brown hair and between 25 to 30 years of age. The male suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds with black hair and between 25 to 30 years of age.

The suspects have used two different pickup trucks to transport the stolen merchandise. The first is a blue-colored 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck, bearing Arizona plate AGT0713, and the second is a red colored pickup truck, bearing Sonora, Mexico plate UU70805.

The Chandler Police Department is encouraging anyone with information about this investigation to call 480-782-4130 or complete an anonymous tip on the Chandler PD Web site at www.ChandlerPD.com.
