New Economic Development Specialist in Chandler
CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler has hired Mitchel Allen as Economic Development Specialist.  Allen will work on retail, and office and industrial recruitment as Chandler continues to focus on bringing high wage jobs to the city.  Additionally, Allen will focus on recruiting science and biotechnology companies to the City’s Innovations Incubator.

Prior to working for Chandler, Allen worked for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) as a Business Attraction Associate.

“Mitchel’s experience with GPEC gives him a broad understanding of the market and the challenges that cities face,” said Christine Mackay, Economic Development Director. “He’s hit the ground running already, and I’m thrilled to have him on our team, working to recruit jobs to Chandler.”

Allen has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Arizona State University, and is active in the community as a member of the Arizona Association for Economic Development, and a volunteer with Arizona Quest for Kids and People to People International.
