TechEDge Capital Conference Develops “Investor Ready” Entrepreneurs
Chandler, AZ— Attracting investors can be key to launching a successful tech business, but for many entrepreneurs, it’s the most difficult step. The “Becoming an Investor Ready Entrepreneur” capital conference geared toward tech startups will educate and prepare growth-oriented entrepreneurs to successfully engage private equity investors.
This free conference runs 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Friday, June 8 in the Chandler Council Chambers, 88 E. Chicago St and is hosted by the Small Business Development Center in partnership with the City of Chandler as an extension of the collaboration between the organizations at the Innovations Incubator.
This conference was developed with direct input from experienced entrepreneurs, angel investors, angel networks/fund executives, and venture capitalists and provides an "insider's look" into the world of equity funding.
Panelists include: Jim Goulka, Arizona Technology Investor Forum; Dee Harris, Arizona Angels; and Angela Perez, Snell & Wilmer.
By understanding what investors look for, entrepreneurs can reduce barriers to funding, navigate the process more easily, and increase the chances of obtaining funding for their business. The program will cover:
• The equity funding "food chain."
• What investors look for and expect from the companies they fund.
• Making a company investor-ready.
• Assessing ‘readiness’ at each business milestone.
• Personal testimonials from those who've done it themselves. Panelist will include serial entrepreneurs and angel investors who've "been there".
