Turn bay construction to restrict eastbound Ray Road

Eastbound Ray Road at Dobson Road will experience lane restrictions resulting from construction of a dedicated right turn lane.  The new right turn bay is being constructed to reduce delays for eastbound traffic wanting to turn right at Dobson, especially during evening rush hour.
The project will begin July 5 and take approximately four months to complete. Eastbound Ray at Dobson will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. R.K. Sanders, Inc., has been contracted to perform the work at a cost of $187,760.
In addition to the turn bay, the project will include new sidewalk ramps at each corner of the Ray/Dobson intersection to comply with design standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
