Chandler’s Family Easter Celebration returns March 31
Hop over to Snedigar Sportsplex for Easter egg hunts, live music, games and more

No bunny does Easter quite like Chandler! The 38th Annual Family Easter Celebration begins at 9 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at Snedigar Sportsplex, 4500 S. Basha Road.

This free, family friendly event is for children up to 9 years of age and egg hunts will be divided into four age groups. To ensure the safety of the youngest bunnies under 2-years-old, only adults will be permitted on the hunt field; older children can cheer on their siblings from the sidelines.

Egg scrambles start promptly at 10:30 a.m. and families are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes early. Make sure to bring your basket, as more than 12,000 Easter eggs will be spread across the sports fields. Find the Golden Egg and receive a backpack full of goodies. Tickets for a chance to win an egg-citing Family Easter Basket will be handed out before the event concludes at noon.
The morning will also be hopping with Easter crafts, face painting, interactive amusements, musical performances and more. Some activities require a minimal fee and photos with Peter Cotton Tail will be available for purchase.

The City is also on the hunt for Chandler’s most egg-cellent artist. Little bunnies can pick up this year’s coloring page at any Chandler recreation facility, or download it at The contest ends March 14 and is open to children up to 9 years of age.

The 38th annual Family Easter Celebration is presented by the City of Chandler in partnership with NextCare Urgent Care. For more information, call the Special Events Line at 480-782-2735, or visit
