 Water Waste Investigation Request

Excess water in our streets can present a traffic/pedestrian hazard, be destructive to asphalt, and can affect property conditions. There could be several reasons for water running off property and into the street such as irrigation valves stuck open, forgotten hoses, or breaks in pipes or irrigation lines. Most water wasters are simply unaware of the problem. By reporting water waste, you are actually helping to educate your neighbors and the community about water conservation.

If warranted, Water Conservation staff will contact the responsible party within five business days by phone, mail, or in person to inform them of the situation, provide proper watering guidelines, leak tips, and a friendly reminder to conserve water. Most people correct the issue reported and the process ends there. However, if the problem continues, a second contact can be made after a reasonable amount of time has been given to correct the issue.
