The Tax & License Division administers the collection of transaction privilege (sales) and use taxes, and issues tax and special regulatory licenses. Licensing provides general information to the public, processes tax returns and payments, and processes all tax and special regulatory license applications.

Senate Bill 1598 Compliance
The Arizona Legislature passed Senate Bill 1598, which sets forth municipal requirements related to information provided to the public and the ability of persons to obtain information about municipal policies and procedures. Portions of the Bill became effective on July 20, 2011, with full implementation on December 31, 2012.
The licensing time frames are governed by ARS 9-835 and the licensing application process by ARS 9-836.
