Using the documentary series, "Arizona's Mexican Heritage," Dimas will explore the period of the 1800s and the movement north from Mexico to Sonora (southern Arizona) and the establishment of pre-railroad Arizona cities such as Tucson, Yuma, Prescott, Wickenburg, Phoenix, and more. He will touch on the parts they played in ranching, mining, farming, commerce and the development of the major cities in the state. Dimas will also cover the lesser-known influences of New Mexican families in the state's history.Suitable for: AdultsOur Stories presents diverse speakers who share unique Arizona and local history topics with a general audience throughout the year.
