These humanitarians include missionary and cattleman Father Eusebio Kino; Nellie Cashman, “The Miners’ Angel”; Oliver Comstock, tuberculosis caregiver, Maria Luisa Urquides, the “Mother of Bilingual Education”; Lincoln Ragsdale, Phoenix civil rights pioneer; and Annie Wauneka Dodge, Navajo health care champion. Turner will provide a suggested reading list on the topic to attendees. Registration is appreciated, and drop-ins are welcome.
