Celebration Plaza

Evangeline “Eva” Serrano's family gathers at Celebration Plaza for her posthumous induction.

Located at Tumbleweed Park, Celebration Plaza honors service organizations and a select group of residents, living or deceased, for their civic leadership, public outreach, personal service and commitment to the community. Each year, the public can nominate up to two individuals and/ or organizations to be permanently recognized. 2021 Nominations for Celebration Plaza closed on April 30, 2020.

Chandler Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon

Saturday, Feb. 19 | 11 a.m.
Hamilton High School Auditorium

The accomplishments of seven athletes, coaches, and athletic administrators will be celebrated at the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon. Inductees include:

  • Dr. Camille Casteel, Chandler Unified School District Superintendent
  • Phil Gonzales, Tennis Coach
  • Greg Haagsma, Basketball Coach
  • N'Keal Harry, Football
  • Markus Howard, Basketball
  • Cole Luke, Football
  • Sierra Rodriguez, Softball

Tickets are $15. Lunch to follow induction ceremony.

Chuck Wagon Cook-Off

Experience a rare, up-close look at Western history during this family-friendly culinary event. Authentic 1880s chuck wagon teams from around the West use historic cooking methods to create the best five-course meals fit for the trail.
