Mayor's Youth Commission

Are you a high school student in Chandler who wants to make a difference in the community?

Apply for membership in this advisory group and give a voice to the youth of Chandler. Not only will you provide service to the community, but you will also develop personal leadership skills.

Meetings are held at the Community Center (125 E. Commonwealth Ave) the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m.

The 19 members of the Youth Commission make recommendations to the City Council regarding Chandler youth. The members learn about city government, develop leadership skills, and provide community service. They also participate in various events, fund-raisers and programs for Chandler youth and teens.

The committee represents a cross-section of all middle, junior high and high schools serving Chandler.

    Teen Town Hall

Our annual Teen Town Hall event brings together teens from the community to discuss issues of concern to Chandler's teens and offer recommendations for practical solutions the community can implement. All private and public high schools within the City of Chandler are invited to participate through their career centers. Please contact your school counselor to register.

    Graffiti Painted Positive

Blending street art, community and education, the Mayor's Youth Commission invites you to help raise awareness for the Graffiti Painted Positive Campaign. Rooted in the streets, Graffiti Painted Positive educates youth on creative outlets to showcase their artistic talents while working with local government and communities to report incidents of graffiti.
