Chandler Science Spectacular

Every February, Chandler celebrates the exploration of invention. The Chandler Science Spectacular showcases the businesses, artists, students and innovators in the community as Chandler participates in the statewide Arizona SciTech Festival.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us for the next Chandler Science Spectacular scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.

This free event offers unique opportunities for attendees to explore the discoveries of science engineered in their own backyard. Chandler uses 'sneaky science' by entertaining the whole family while explaining how science is important to daily life. Some of last year's interactive demonstrations by Chandler’s technology companies included Waymo, global engineering firm Stantec, Local Motors, Zovio and the PGA Tour Superstore, among others.

At the 2020 event, the Chandler Symphony Orchestra also took the stage and played some favorite sci-fi & fantasy movie music, including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Dr. Who and Jurassic Park as well as themes from some popular video games.

Once again, all K-12 schools and organizations in the city's boundaries are welcome to participate in the second Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Competition. Six winning teams will each be awarded a $500 prize for the most educational, most creative and most passionate projects. Winners from the 2019 event were honored during the April 6th City Council meeting.
