Halloween Spooktacular

We're inviting all ghosts, goblins, ghouls, creatures, characters, and superheroes to join us for an evening of safe family fun! There will be food, games, arts & crafts, costume contests, and souvenir photos!

  • Need a scary character to complete your costume? Stop by and get your cheek, arm, or hand painted with a festive Halloween character
  • The Mayor’s Youth Commission provides budding artists to spread the Halloween spirit to all the little witches and ghouls walking around
  • Face Painting is available for $2

Trunk or Treat Stations

  • Come trick your way to many treats from our eight decorated stations

  • Watch the movie, Hotel Transylvania 2, at 6.15 p.m.
  • Bring a blanket to sit on the grass and enjoy!
  • Also, become the characters of the movie as you take a picture in the photo frame

​​​​​​Little Monsters Bounce - For Kids 5 years old and under only

  • Calling all little monsters! Come bounce with us in inflatable jumpers
  • Shoes will need to be removed to access inflatable jumpers
  • Any and all sharp items (i.e. masks, costume accessories, etc.) will need to be removed before entering inflatable jumpers

Announcing: New Costume Contest format for 2018!

  • Contest Begins at 6:45 p.m.
  • On-site Registration is Required
  • Participation is FREE
  • New Age and Judging Categories
  • Maximum of 25 participants per Age Divisions
  • Maximum of 15 participants for Family/Group Division


  • Anyone wishing to participate in the Costume Contest must register at the event
  • Registration begins on-site at 5:30 p.m. on event night
  • Registration closes on-site at 6:15 p.m. or when spaces in age division are full

Costume Divisions

All divisions will be divided by age and not costume or gender.  All costumes will be competing against each other, regardless of the genre or gender

  • 0-3 Years Old
  • 4-5 Years Old
  • 6-7 Years Old
  • 8-10 Years Old
  • 11+ Years Old
  • Best/Group Family

Contest Rules

  • Maximum of 25 participants per Age Division
  • Maximum of 15 participants for Family/Group Division
  • All participants must register to enter contest
  • Children in the 0-3 and 4-5 age division will be allowed ONE adult to escort them in the contest area
  • No strollers will be allowed in the costume contest area
  • No vulgar, offensive or inappropriate costumes will be admitted into the contest. Costume Contest officials have the final say on eligibility of any costume in question.

Contest Judging

  • Contestants will be judges on the details, difficulty, and originality of their costume
  • Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in age division
  • Best Overall prize will be given in Best Family/Group division

Spooktacular is happy to have two local organizations provide food, snacks and beverage options for sale for our guests to enjoy during the event. For those who need a quick bit while participating in all the fun, stop by and pick up a treat and buy a tasty treat.

The Halloween Spooktacular is continually seeking interested individuals, organizations and companies who want to sponsor our great festival with either in-kind services or monetary donations.
