Chandler was ranked the Best Place to Find a Job in 2018 following a nationwide study conducted by WalletHub. The ranking reflected the growth of Chandler’s economy over the previous year, and this strong growth continued throughout 2018. The City’s business attraction, retention and expansion efforts supported projects that are expected to create nearly 7,000 jobs in Chandler over the next three years.
Intel also continued its investment of billions of dollars to build out its Fab 42 facility. Dignity Health started expansions at Chandler Regional Medical Center and Banner Health began construction of a new community hospital. The completion of Overstreet, construction of New Square and the addition of new businesses indicated the excitement and investment in Downtown Chandler.
A Clothing Company With a Purpose
Shirts, hats and accessories donning the iconic State Forty Eight logo can be found across the state — often in collaboration pieces with other Arizona organizations and nonprofits. However, if you ask the company’s founders about their roots, they will be the first to tell you their hearts live in Chandler.
Adaptive Reuse in Downtown Chandler
To stimulate the growth of the traditionally suburban Downtown and help convert it to a more urban destination, the City established an out-of-the-box plan for businesses to adapt older buildings to meet their new needs. The Adaptive Reuse Program is helping create new life for businesses and guests.
