The City of Chandler is considering new or modified fees. The fee changes are proposed to be charged by the Public Works & Utilities Department/Solid Waste Division, and the City Manager Department/Transportation Policy Division.
First, the Public Works & Utilities Department/Solid Waste Division is proposing a 6% increase to the monthly Solid Waste fee. The changed fee is proposed to be effective January 1, 2020.
Second, the City Manager Department/Transportation Policy Division is proposing a shared mobility pilot program. Shared mobility devices such as electric bicycles and scooters have become prevalent in many cities in the Valley and across the country. These devices can provide residents with alternative means of transportation for short trips, including connections to transit and Chandler businesses. The proposed fees would be effective only if Council authorizes a pilot program.
View the details in the Summary of Proposed New or Modified Fees that are planned to be considered at a Regular Meeting of the Chandler City Council being held in the Council Chambers, 88 E Chicago Street, on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The proposed fees are being posted 60 days prior to consideration at the public meeting, to allow time for citizen comment. After action, the fees are anticipated to be effective January 1, 2020.
