Chandler families with students in need of school supplies are invited to participate in the seventh annual Operation Back to School Chandler. The free event is scheduled from 6:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Chandler High School, 350 N. Arizona Ave.

Eligible Chandler K-12 students may receive backpacks filled with supplies, shoes, uniforms, socks and underwear (while supplies last). In addition, families will receive information on free after-school programs, community services including the upcoming Census, along with giveaways and prizes. Online applications for free or reduced priced meals for the FY 19-20 school year also will be available onsite with staff available to assist as needed.

Participating families must bring the following to the event in order to receive supplies:

  • Previous report card or enrollment form to confirm attendance at Chandler schools or a current utility bill to confirm Chandler residency
  • Children must be present at the event
  • Parents and guardians must bring some form of ID
