Chandler hosts small business development workshops at Sunset Library

The Chandler Public Library and the City's Economic Development Division are partnering to host a series of free workshops to help small business owners start or grow their business. The workshops will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, Nov. 8, and Nov. 15, at the Chandler Sunset Library, 4930 W. Ray Road. 

Part 1 - Wednesday, Nov. 1: City resources to help build your business Have a business idea and not sure where to start? Or do you have an existing business that you want to grow? Learn about assistance available through Chandler Library and the City's Economic Development and Tax & Licensing divisions. Also, discover resources available within Chandler, such as NACET (Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology), TechShop and Infinity Coworking, that can help your business.

Part 2 - Wednesday, Nov. 8: Creating a business plan and marketing your business The Small Business Development Center will discuss business plans and structures to help take your business idea to the next level. The Chandler Chamber of Commerce will discuss their resources to help you start or grow your business, including networking and events. Also, social media tips for business owners will be discussed by Out of the Box Marketing. 

Part 3 - Wednesday, Nov. 15: Financing your business and human resources issues Discover the nuts and bolts of financing your business with the Small Business Administration. Attendees also will learn about recent labor laws and human resource issues to consider before hiring your first employee.
