Chandler’s July 4th Fireworks Spectacular returns with an All-American Drive-in

June 2, 2021

CHANDLER, Ariz. – Red, White and Boom! Chandler is celebrating Independence Day celebration, with a “drive-in” style July 4th Fireworks Spectacular, at sprawling Tumbleweed Park.

The fireworks show will begin promptly at 9 p.m. and be approximately 20-minutes long.

“This year’s fireworks show will continue to give the community an opportunity to have fun while responsibly staying safe and celebrating our nation’s independence,” said Special Events Coordinator Hermelinda Llamas. “We’re excited to be able to offer our community family entertainment in a time when togetherness is so important.”

The party in the park begins at 9 p.m. and requires a $5 parking pass. Chandler residents are given priority access to purchase passes through Thursday, June 17, before general sales open to the public on Friday, June 18. Residency is being verified through the City’s Utility Service Online Portal. Details on how to access or create an account can be found at Chandler 4th of July.

The parking area will open at 7 p.m., with a limited number of spots. Parking will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Review this year’s parking map to select your preferred entrance and seating area. Parkgoers are allowed to sit in their truck beds, and immediately adjacent in front of, to the side, behind their vehicle in folding chairs, or in the nearby grass area.

Local food trucks and street fare vendors are also on tap for the party in the park. All snack food and non-alcoholic drinks are pay-as-you-go and public restrooms are available inside the park.

Tumbleweed Park is located at 2250 S. McQueen Road, on the southwest corner of McQueen and Germann roads. Vehicles can enter the park from Germann Road at Hamilton Street or from McQueen Road at Celebration Way.

The July 4th Fireworks Spectacular is presented by the City of Chandler.
