Pumpkin Dunk

Saturday, Oct. 26 is National Pumpkin Day, and to celebrate Chandler Aquatics is turning Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center into a floating pumpkin patch. The pool will be heated and filled with nearly 1,000 pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. Carve out some family time from noon to 2 p.m. to pick your perfect pumpkin while swimming alongside family, friends and pumpkins.

“Arizona may be the only place in the country where it's hot enough to wear flip flops and tank tops to the pumpkin patch, especially if it's floating,” said Tiffanie Hawkins, spokesperson for Chandler Aquatics. “We’ll also have ghoulish games like Pumpkin Putting, Wicked Witch Ring Toss and Ghostly Bean Bag Toss for everyone to enjoy.” Daily admission rates apply and include the opportunity to participate in the floating pumpkin patch, crafts and on-deck activities.

The annual Chandler Pumpkin Dunk is presented by Chandler Aquatics and made possible through the generous support from community partners like Arizona Aquatics Club and Autumn Harvest.

Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center is located at 5901 S. Hillcrest Drive, Chandler, 85249.
