CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Division and the City’s Human Relations Commission are offering mini-grants up to $1,000 each. Teachers, schools, nonprofit organizations and community groups located in Chandler or who provide services to Chandler residents or students are eligible to apply.
“I’m thrilled to see the partnership between the City and the Human Relations Commission to offer these grants,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “I’ve seen what this funding has been able to do for our schools – they’ve been able to create events to educate students about different cultures, which are great learning opportunities for Chandler students.”
Online applications are now being accepted at Diversity Grants. Complete grant guidelines and requirements also are listed online.
Organizations are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible. Applicants will be notified of their award status within two weeks after their submission. A total of $10,000 is available for distribution. While all projects are considered, first priority for the grant funding will be given to diversity education projects or programs in K-12 schools.
