Queen Creek and Cooper Roads improvements to be discussed

A preliminary design for widening portions of Queen Creek and Cooper roads will be discussed at public meetings to be held Thursday, March 3, at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center, Cotton Room North, 745 E. Germann Rd., in Chandler.

The meetings will be held back-to- back and discuss specific elements of the project. Improvements specific to Cooper Road between Queen Creek Road and Nightingale Lane will be discussed at 6 p.m., and improvements specific to Queen Creek Road will be discussed at 6:45 p.m.

Design continues for the project, which will widen Cooper Road to four lanes and Queen Creek Road to six lanes, including bike lanes, turn lanes, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, storm drains, street lighting, traffic signals, landscaping, irrigation and utility relocations.
