Human Services

Each year, the Human Services Division makes funds available for programs and services identified as community needs and prioritized by City Council. In addition to providing financial support, Human Services collaborates with internal and external partners directly to address emerging needs and situational crises impacting the Chandler community.

Homeless Services

By analyzing factors contributing to homelessness and who experiences homelessness, the City of Chandler in conjunction with the Maricopa Regional Service System has developed several strategies and resources to address homelessness within the City.

Human Services Grants

General grant funding is awarded to non-profits to address the critical needs of Chandler residents, providing services to families in crisis, special populations, youth services, homeless navigation, and transportation services to veterans. Grant cycle open in October/November.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

The VITA program, staffed by community volunteers, provides free tax preparation services to low- and moderate-income taxpayers, the elderly and those with disabilities.
