Neighborhood Programs was established by the City Council in 2000 to strengthen Chandler's neighborhoods through partnerships, programs and services.
Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC)
The Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) is a seven-member Mayor and Council appointed resident committee. The NAC typically holds public meetings every second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Neighborhood Resources Office located at 235 S. Arizona Ave. For meeting dates, agendas and information on how to become a committee member, visit Boards and Commissions.
Many benefits are available to registered neighborhoods, including grant funding and assistance with community organizing. Currently, Chandler has more than 300 registered neighborhoods and nearly 1,600 neighborhood leaders.

Neighborhood Grant Program
The Neighborhood Grant Program is open to all Chandler neighborhoods that participate in the Neighborhood Registration Program. Grant projects are evaluated and selected based on a series of criteria including neighborhood benefit, resident involvement and financial need.
*NEW* Chandler now offers neighborhood grants to conduct Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) efforts to help address issues associated with feral cats through a partnership with the Animal Defense League of Arizona.
Is your volunteer group or business looking to directly assist Chandler residents in need of a helping hand? Join the Let's Pull Together Volunteer Program to help our elderly citizens, persons with disabilities, veterans and families experiencing hardships. Projects occur throughout the year and may include yard work, painting home exteriors, helping remove of unwanted items and/or home repairs (typically done in one morning or an afternoon). For more information, or to sign up, contact Danae Presler at 480-782-4354.
