Recycling and Trash (Solid Waste) Services are part of the Public Works & Utilities and is accountable for providing safe, cost-effective and efficient solid waste programs and services to the residents of Chandler.
These programs and services include residential curbside collection of trash (black cans), recyclables (blue cans), scheduled bulk collection, and household hazardous waste disposal. Solid Waste Services operates the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center and has an extensive public outreach program to heighten awareness of its programs and the importance of recycling.

Closed Friday, June 19 | Juneteenth
Our office and the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center will be closed on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
- Trash and recycling are collected on this holiday.
- Ensure your container is collected by having it at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular collection day.
- The only three holidays that impact collection are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Customer service support is available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to schedule services, report issues with collection or containers or answer any other trash and recycling questions.
