What’s New in Downtown Chandler

As the temperatures cool down in Chandler and patio season begins, there are plenty of new and exciting places for Downtown Chandler visitors to experience this fall. From new restaurants to new entertainment destinations to new retail stores, here's what you can look forward to exploring in the coming months.

Restaurants

Downtown Chandler is truly a foodie’s paradise, with dynamic and delicious restaurants around every corner. In addition to staples like The Brickyard, Hidden House, Crust, SanTan Brewing, and Craft 64, there are several new options that have opened in the past several months. Inchin’s Bamboo Garden, an Asian-Fusion restaurant opened at 17 E. Boston St. in August 2021. Early reviews say that this is a must-visit for those visiting Downtown Chandler. 

Jinya Ramen opened at New Square in April 2021, joining DC Steakhouse and The Stillery. Offering authentic Japanese cuisine, Jinya Ramen is a great place to start a night out in Downtown Chandler. Both restaurants offer ample patio space.

Black Sheep Wine Bar and Merchant, opened in July 2021 at the corner of Boston St. and San Marcos Pl. This beautiful space offers a long happy hour, called “recess,” reasonably priced wines, and delicious small plates. The Perch, long a fixture of Downtown Chandler’s craft brewery scene, recently expanded their second-floor deck, which features incredible city views, plenty of comfortable seating, live music, and of course, tasty craft brews. Also new to Downtown Chandler is Kaleidoscope Juice, located in the lobby of The Alexander. This trendy café offers healthy bites, juices, and coffees in a modern environment.

There are more restaurants on the way as well. 28 S. San Marcos Pl., previously home to El Zocalo, will soon house another cantina concept. Currently under construction, this cantina will take fun to the next level with an expanded patio, refreshed interior and other modern elements. Finally, later this fall Downtown Chandler will open to a new patio bar located at 118 W. Boston St. With a comfortable and secluded outdoor patio, this will be a great place to spend an evening with friends during the Chandler’s beautiful winter months.

Finally, the popular “brewstillery,” Quarthaus, has several changes on the way. Included among these are changes to hours and even more live music. It will be an exciting place to be to enjoy the great fall weather in Downtown Chandler.

Entertainment

Soon, you will once again be able to enjoy a night out at the movies in Downtown Chandler. The theater that once housed Flix will soon be home to LOOK Cinemas, which will offer a high-quality moviegoing experience. Opening this fall, LOOK Cinemas will be a great way for a family to start or finish and evening in Downtown Chandler. Also opening this fall is ImprovMania’s new location at 51 E. Boston St., in the Historic Square. This new location will offer all the laughs and entertainment patrons love from ImprovMania in an upgraded space. With this new location, it will be easier than ever to include entertainment in your visit to Downtown Chandler.

Retail

Finally, D’Vine Gourmet will soon open its flagship location in Downtown Chandler’s Historic Square. Whether you are looking for a thoughtful gift for the holidays or delicious chocolates made on-site, D’Vine gourmet is an exciting addition to Downtown Chandler’s retail environment.
