Walk-In Plan Review
Electronic submittal of plans is recommended, however, a "walk-in" plan review service is offered Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for residential and small commercial projects. Most residential additions and renovations may be reviewed using this service along with a limited number of minor-scale commercial projects. Whether any particular project may be reviewed using our walk-in service will be determined by the plan reviewer on duty.
Building Inspections
Building Safety staff inspects new development and redevelopment projects constructed in the city for conformance to the approved building plans. Building Construction Codes
The City of Chandler has amended and adopted the 2024 editions of the International Codes with the 2023 edition of the National Electrical Code. All plans submitted for review on or after July 1, 2025, must be designed to comply with these code editions. Self Certification of Building Plans
Registered design professionals can now self-certify that a project complies with all applicable laws and codes.
Request for Public Records
To request a copy of a Permit, Certificate of Occupancy, Building Plans or other information, a Request for Public Records form must be submitted.
