Neighborhood Preservation bridges Code Enforcement and Neighborhood Programs to better serve Chandler residents. The Code Enforcement arm promotes public health, safety, and general welfare of the City by protecting neighborhoods from blight, decline, and deterioration through the education and enforcement of the City’s zoning, sign, and neighborhood maintenance codes. Neighborhood Programs fosters community building by facilitating communication among neighbors, educating and empowering residents through training and development, assisting those in need, and partnering with organizations to connect residents with resources.
Together, the Neighborhood Preservation team strives to enhance the quality of life in Chandler, connect residents with resources and services and engage neighbors in leading their communities.
Code Enforcement strives to improve the quality of life in the City of Chandler and promote the public health, safety and general welfare of the community by protecting neighborhoods and property values from blight, decline and deterioration. Code Enforcement uses education and proactive enforcement of the City's zoning, sign and neighborhood maintenance codes and timely removal of graffiti incidents to achieve its goals.
Neighborhood Programs facilitates communication among neighbors by assisting residents with the identification of resources needed for community building efforts. The section also increases resident knowledge of community-based programs and offer training and educational activities to empower residents and develop informed neighborhood leaders.
