Solid Waste Services is part of the Public Works & Utilities Department and is accountable for providing safe, cost-effective and efficient solid waste programs and services to the citizens of Chandler.
These programs and services include residential curbside collection of refuse (black cans) and recyclables (blue can), plus scheduled bulk collection and household hazardous waste disposal. The Division operates the Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center and has an extensive public outreach program to heighten awareness of its programs and the importance of recycling.
If you are a new resident to Chandler please call Utility Billing at 480-782-2280 to start solid waste service.

Many items dropped off at the Chandler Household Hazardous Waste facility are new or partially used products. To promote reuse, we are holding a Swap Shop event at Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 – 11 a.m. These items are available for free to the public and are not available for commercial or resale use.
Items are only available to Chandler residents that receive solid waste services or live in a Chandler multi-family unit. Residents must bring with them a photo ID and a copy of a utility bill showing their current Chandler address.
The quantity and items available can vary. All items are first-come, first-serve, and cannot be reserved. Customers are limited to 10 items and must complete a waiver.
