At the Regular Meeting of the Chandler City Council held in the Council Chambers on Thursday, February 25, 2021, the following fees were considered and adopted.
The fee changes were for the Airport, Community Services, Development Services, Cultural Development, Fire and Neighborhood Resources departments or divisions and are as follows:
First, the City Manager Department/Airport Division made changes to the “City-Owned, Aviation Fuel Services, Retail Prices”, “Airport Hourly Fee”, and “Security Fee”, and adding “Other Hangers”, “Hangar Cleaning Fee” and an “Office Leases” fee. The changes and fees are effective March 1, 2021.
Second, the Fire Department added a $6,000 “Paramedic Program Student Registration” fee to accommodate other municipality/agency staff participating in the program. This fee is effective March 1, 2021.
Third, the Development Services Department/Planning Division added a “Historic Preservation Neighborhood Application” fee. The application fee will be for both neighborhoods and residents. This reflects the City Council adoption of the Historic Preservation ordinance on 11/2/20. This fee is effective July 1, 2021.
Fourth, the Cultural Development Department/Museum Division removed the current museum room rental fees. In cooperation with the Museum Foundation, the foundation will manage the rentals and fees collected going forward. The proposed fee removal is effective July 1, 2021.
Fifth, the Community Services Department/Recreation Division added a new “Mini Field Preparations” fee option effective July 1, 2021, and the Aquatics Division changed “Lifeguard” fee and pool pass options for both youth and adults and the associated fees which will be effective July 1, 2021. “Swim Team Use (per Guard)” were also changed with an effective date of January 1, 2022.
Sixth, the Neighborhood Resources Department/Code Enforcement Division removed the “First non-compliance re-inspection fee” and “Subsequent re-inspection with continued non-compliance” fee, and replaced these with an “Abatement Administrative Fee” and “Demolition Abatement Administrative Fees”. These changes reflect the City Code changes adopted by City Council in December 2020. These fees are effective July 1, 2021.
