Celebrate the Airport’s 75th Anniversary
Chandler Municipal Airport (CHD) is excited to announce the return of its community open house, Airport Day. The event will bring together aviation enthusiasts and the public in celebration of the Airport’s 75th anniversary.
Many residents may not realize that Chandler has its own community airport. Airport Day gives CHD staff the opportunity to showcase their place of work that they’re very proud of and that also happens to serve as the 16th busiest general aviation airport in the nation. During the event, attendees can enjoy aircraft displays (single-engine, vintage and modern planes), helicopter displays, flyovers and food trucks. Attendees also can learn more about local businesses that call CHD and the surrounding Airpark area home.
