Museum Volunteer and Internships

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

From exhibits, collections, and programs to events, community outreach, and more, Chandler Museum relies on dedicated volunteers to meet its mission! We are continually looking for individuals who will help us better serve the community.

Chandler Museum volunteers have the unique opportunity to support history, art, and culture while learning new skills and meeting people with similar interests. Volunteers play many roles at the Museum, including planning and staffing special events, learning with visitors, guiding tours, caring for artifacts and the oral history collection, and offering administrative support.

Volunteer applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Assignments are offered based on the needs of the Museum and the applicant's interests and skills. We ask for a minimum of 6 hours per month for at least 6 months. Volunteering is open to applicants 18 years of age or older.

Internships

At Chandler Museum, interns are a valued part of the team. Because the Museum is a relatively young institution, interns enjoy a special opportunity to contribute during the institution’s dynamic growth phase. Chandler Museum strives to provide meaningful, hands-on experiences that lead to tangible results for both interns and the Museum.

Internships can focus on Collections, Education, Exhibits, or Research. Internship commitments are generally 10 hours per week for 15 weeks. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply.

Internship applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Assignments are offered based on the needs of the Museum and the applicant's interests and skills. Internships are open to applicants 18 years of age or older, preferably current students attending a college/university for an undergraduate or graduate degree.
