The volunteer and docent corps of the Chandler Museum are essential in ensuring that the Museum meets its mission.
We are continually looking for individuals who will help us better serve the community. Chandler Museum volunteers have the unique opportunity to support history, art, and culture while learning new skills and meeting people with similar interests. Volunteers play many roles at the Museum, including planning and staffing special events, learning with visitors, helping guide tours, caring for artifacts and the oral history collection, and offering administrative support.
How to apply: Volunteer applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Volunteer assignments are made based on the needs of the Museum and the applicant's interests and skills. We ask for a minimum of 6 hours per month for at least 6 months.
If you have any questions, contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
Interns at the Chandler Museum are a valued part of the Museum staff. Because the Museum is a relatively young institution, interns enjoy a special opportunity to contribute to the Museum in a dynamic growth phase. The Museum strives to give interns meaningful, hands-on activities that lead to tangible results, both for interns and the Museum.
Internships are offered in the collections and education departments. Internships are generally 15 weeks, 10 hours/week.
Intern applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply.
