The Arts & Culture Master Plan will shape how arts, history, performance and culture grow in Chandler for the next five years. Chandler has a rich and growing cultural life — from the Jazz Festival and Multicultural Festival, to the Chandler Museum, Vision Gallery, Center for the Arts and a vibrant downtown. As the city continues to grow, we want to make sure arts and culture grow with it in a way that reflects who we are and who we're becoming.
The Master Plan is the city's first unified framework for cultural development — a roadmap that will guide decisions about arts, performance, events, public spaces, history and cultural programming for the next five years.
This plan belongs to all of Chandler. It will be shaped by the people who live here, create here and care about what makes this city feel like home. The process started Aug. 5, 2026, and will include community input opportunities beginning in fall 2026.

The Arts & Culture Master Plan is led by the City of Chandler's Cultural Development Department, which stewards a wide range of programs and facilities that make up the city's cultural ecosystem:
Chandler Center for the Arts
Chandler's premier performing arts venue located in the vibrant center of Downtown Chandler and at the core of the entertainment district, Chandler Center for the Arts is an engaging, welcoming, innovative space serving our diverse community.
Chandler Museum
Preserving and sharing the city's history and heritage, and includes:
- Vision Gallery: Showcasing visual art and supporting local artists
- Tumbleweed Ranch: A historic site and community gathering space exploring Chandler’s agricultural roots.
- ChandlerpediA: an online resource to explore a rich collection of photographs, documents, oral histories, and personal stories.
Special Events
City-hosted events such as the Chandler Jazz Festival and the Tumbleweed Tree Lighting & Parade of Lights, include many opportunities for the community to get involved .
Downtown Chandler
Cultivating a vibrant, culturally rich downtown, there's a little something for everyone - shopping, dining, dancing, or just strolling around - there's never a dull moment downtown.

Advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging across all cultural programs to create a welcoming environment that recognizes the unique experiences, histories, and traditions of its residents.
The plan is being developed in partnership with Keen Independent Research, an experienced consulting firm with deep expertise in arts and cultural planning for cities across the Southwest.
