The Digital Media Division within the Communications and Public Affairs department at the City of Chandler provides essential services to all city departments, such as digital asset content creation, marketing, public engagement campaigns, live broadcast productions and public meetings. By leveraging digital platforms, we strive to enhance transparency, foster community involvement, and disseminate vital information efficiently. The ultimate goal and impact is to educate and entertain, improve public awareness of initiatives and cultivate a strong connection between the government and the community.
The division is housed within City Hall and provides programming for the city’s social media platforms, cable channel and YouTube channel. Having undergone recent studio renovations, the division manages a state-of-the-art digital media production facility with a large, fully equipped studio with a green screen for virtual production, advanced cinema cameras, automated lighting grids, professional sets with a large video wall and an interactive monitor. The studio connects to a master control room for multi-camera switching, live streaming, and real-time graphics. Adjacent edit bays house high-performance workstations for post-production, supporting software like Adobe Creative Cloud. The facility also has production gear, including cinema cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU for field productions.
Similar to a production house, the team collaborates with city departments to produce award-winning content for our residents, businesses and viewers.
