Meet James, Recreation Coordinator
As a Recreation Coordinator, James oversees more than 150 recreation classes each season, working with instructors, community partners and local organizations to provide engaging programs that meet the diverse interests and needs of Chandler residents. He builds partnerships that bring new skills, experiences and opportunities to the community while helping expand and strengthen recreation programming for residents of all ages.
Meet Brian, Traffic Engineering Senior Technician
Brian helps keep Chandler’s roadways safe and coordinated by reviewing traffic control permits, ensuring plans meet city standards, supporting traffic studies and signing and striping layouts, and helping customers navigate the permitting process. The best part of his job is working with customers around the city.

Public Works & Utilities Annual Picnic
Chandler’s Public Works & Utilities team gathers each spring for their annual picnic at Tumbleweed Park. It’s a great opportunity to recognize everyone for their hard work and use one of their bucket trucks to capture the entire team.

Chandler’s newest employees attend New Employee Orientation to help them learn all about working for the city. This full day of training includes presentations from many departments and divisions and helps set everyone up for success.
Pop-Up Event to celebrate customer service
Members of Team Chandler from all city departments enjoyed a recent Customer Connection pop-up appreciation event. All attendees received recognition for excellent customer service from their peers. What was the snack offered at this event? Pop Tarts, of course.
Chandler Jazz Festival makes downtown more musical
Every April, our city celebrates jazz all month long. That includes sidewalk bands throughout downtown during the Chandler Jazz Festival weekend. Listening to live music is a perfect way to unwind after the work week.
