CHANDLER, Ariz. – Residents looking for a meaningful way to get involved in their community are invited to a Boards and Commissions Open House hosted by the City Clerk’s Office from 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Copper Room on the second floor of the Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S. Delaware St.
The open house offers Chandler residents a chance to explore the city’s boards and commissions ahead of the annual recruitment process, which begins in early January 2027. Attendees can learn about each board and commission, ask questions and connect with staff liaisons about volunteer opportunities that match their interests and experience.
Mayor Kevin Hartke and members of the Chandler City Council have been invited to also attend and meet with interested residents.
“Our boards and commissions give residents a direct voice in the decisions that shape Chandler,” said City Clerk Jennifer Rincon. “This open house is a great way to find out where your skills and passions could make a difference before applications open early next year.”
Chandler’s boards and commissions advise the City Council on a wide range of topics, from parks and recreation, planning and zoning, public safety and more. Selected residents volunteer their time to provide input and recommendations on issues affecting the community.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information or to view a complete list of boards and commissions, visit Chandler Boards.
