CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler honors men and women who have served our country at the Veterans Day event, taking place the Sunday before the holiday.
On Sunday, Nov. 8, Chandler hosts the annual Veterans Day event at the Field of Honor, located within Veterans Oasis Park. The celebration begins at 5:45 p.m. with acknowledgments recognizing local heroes.
This year’s event will also be the final event showcasing the 27 Flags Exhibit as part of Chandler’s Celebration of America’s 250th birthday. The exhibit features all 27 versions of America’s flag, educating participants on the history of statehood as the country evolved.
The event will unveil the latest round of names on the Field of Honor Veterans Memorial, now honoring 69 local veterans. The Veterans Memorial is a permanent tribute to members of the U.S. military who have lived within the southeast valley.
The Veterans Day event and honor wall are presented by the Military and Veterans Affairs Commission and Community Services Department.
Field of Honor is located within Veterans Oasis Park at 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road. Free parking is available on-site.
