Thanksgiving holiday service schedule for the City of Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz — The City of Chandler service closures for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, are as follows:

  • City administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25.
  • There will be no trash or recycling collection on Thanksgiving Day. If your regular collection day is Thursday, place your container at the curb by 6 a.m. Friday. Residents who have regular Friday collection are asked to place their cans at the curb by 6 a.m. Saturday. Collection can occur anytime from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center for residential self-haul will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.
  • A special Turkey Swim lap swimming session will be held at Hamilton Aquatic Center from 5:30-7:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Bring a canned food donation to swim for free. No lap swimming session will be held at Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center on Thursday, Nov. 24. Arrowhead Pool, Folley Pool and Nozomi Aquatic Center are closed for the season.
  • Tumbleweed Recreation Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24 and open holiday schedule hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25.
  • The Chandler Tennis Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, and will reopen for regular hours beginning on Friday, Nov. 25.
  • The Chandler Nature Center, Snedigar Recreation Center, Senior Center and Community Center will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25.
  • Chandler libraries (Downtown, Sunset, Basha and Hamilton) will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23. All four of the libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.
  • Chandler Museum will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25.
  • The box office at the Center for the Arts will be closed on Thursday, and open from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25.
  • The Vision Gallery will be closed Thursday through Saturday.
