Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil

A candlelight vigil will be held at Chandler City Hall to recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In Chandler and across the Maricopa County region, people from all walks of life are honoring the courage of survivors and those who help them.

Speakers will include Chandler Vice Mayor Christine Ellis, Tempe Vice Mayor Doreen Garlid, Lizette Roeder with the Chandler Domestic Violence Commission and Latrice Banks, a domestic violence victim who is now thriving.

Shante Saulsberry, founder of Janice’s Women’s Center in Phoenix, will serve as master of ceremonies and music will be provided by Kata.
