Film Friday: "In Old Arizona" at the Chandler Museum
Join us at the Chandler Museum for Film Friday and immerse yourself in the Wild West adventure of "In Old Arizona"!
In Old Arizona is a 1928 Western film, the first major all-talking picture, starring Warner Baxter as the legendary bandit The Cisco Kid, a story based on O. Henry's character. Known for its outdoor sound recording and Oscar-winning performance, the story follows the Cisco Kid as he outwits Sheriff Mickey Dunn to woo the beautiful Tonia Maria. In Old Arizona evokes the romanticized, historic frontier of Arizona itself and reflects early cinema's fascination with the region.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
